This course is designed for beginners to introduce you to some of the wonders of our Southern night sky. We will start with a bit of theory before a more practical session: focusing on star patterns/constellations and the clusters, galaxies and nebulae which populate the Southern skies. Plus, how to see these celestial treasures with binoculars and small telescopes. Hopefully we can also use them that night if the weather behaves! 

We want to build your confidence to go out and look at the sky. The perfect starting point to further appreciate Matariki (28th June 2024).
